Misty & Mitchell: A Golden Hour Wedding with Big Feels & Even Bigger Dance Moves

14/5/25, 7:15 am

Heartfelt vows, barefoot sunset cliffs, and a grandma who absolutely owned the dance floor — Misty & Mitchell’s Margaret River wedding was full of love, laughs, and golden light.

Some weddings just stay with you. Not because of the venue or the styling or anything like that — but because of the people.

Misty & Mitchell had this energy that was warm, grounded, and just… fun. From the moment I rocked up, they were all smiles, making me feel like I’d known them for years. No stress, no pressure, just a couple who looked at each other like best mates who still had a bit of a crush.

Their ceremony was held at Wills Domain — quiet, beautiful, and full of heart. Their vows were so genuine it stopped me in my tracks. Nothing performative, nothing over the top. Just two people saying exactly what they meant, in front of the people who mattered most.

Later that evening, we drove out to Wyadup Rocks — barefoot on the cliffs, the wind wild, the light golden. I swear the ocean knew it was being watched. They ran around, laughed, held each other close — and I just filmed. It didn’t feel like a shoot. It felt like a moment that would’ve happened anyway.

Back at the reception, Misty’s grandma completely owned the dance floor. Like, owned it. Everyone lost it in the best way. That dance floor was buzzing all night, and the love in the room felt big. You know when people really show up for a couple? That was this day.

When it came time to edit, I sat with it longer than usual. Not because it was tricky, but because I wanted to do it justice. I wanted it to feel like them — all that softness, that playful chaos, the little in-between moments that no one notices but mean everything.

Misty & Mitchell — thank you for letting me witness your day. For being open, trusting, and showing me what love looks like when it’s the right kind of easy.
